Pastor Peter Preus presents

Why Would a Christian Want to Commit Suicide?

Friday, September 18, 2015, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, 620 E 3rd Ave., Mitchell, SD.

Saturday, September 19, 2015 1:00 PM at Peace Lutheran Church, Brookings, SD.

Can someone who commits suicide go to heaven? Great stigma is associated with those who choose suicide.  This is true especially concerning Christians who take their life.  The paradox of a Christian suicide remains unresolved for many.  People cannot understand how a Christian could possibly end his own life. Pastor Peter Preus in his presentation will discuss briefly some failed attempts to resolve the paradox, and then explain how Christians are just as susceptible to suicide as others. He will do so by commenting on some common misunderstandings in the Church with respect to sin, faith and grace.
